As a Uranium Specialist you will:
Serve as expert advisor and exercise delegated authority for uranium and other nuclear fuel commercial efforts. Plan, organize, and manage development projects and programs that are broad in cope and provide policy for uranium and other nuclear fuel efforts. Formulate overall concepts and provide leadership for complex program that promote nuclear power capable of meeting energy, environmental, and national security needs. Direct and coordinate the execution of programs/projects. Direct and oversee preparation of technical reports and other document required to support agency position related to projects and programs. Represent agency on task forces, committees, and other groups and at conferences as technical expert on policy and issue relating to uranium and nuclear fuel programs and projects. Develop technical briefs designed to analyze and communicate the status of nuclear fuel/uranium program. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTSA qualified candidate's online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
1) Directing, planning, organizing, and managing programs related to uranium and nuclear fuel policies and projects; 2) Serving as technical expert on uranium and nuclear fuel activities within government organizations and the private sector by maintaining current on new concepts, ideas, research, and technology; 3) Communicating information as principle speaker or panel member to diverse audiences on established or proposed uranium and nuclear fuel programs and policies; and 4) Directing and conducting analyses of uranium and nuclear fuel markets Your application and resume should demonstrate that you possess the following knowledge, skills and abilities (KSAs). Mastery knowledge of business/trade practices and contracting laws, principles and regulations sufficient to review and recommend to top Departmental management approval of major strategic actions involving the revitalization and strengthening of the front-end of the nuclear-fuel cycle and the domestic nuclear industry Mastery of the application of quantitative and/or qualitative methods to conduct technical, economic, and policy studies of the front-end of the nuclear fuel cycle Expert knowledge of the processes and economics of uranium recovery, conversion, and uranium enrichment, and related technology development and nuclear fuel planning activities. Knowledge of nuclear fuel facility operations, maintenance, and economics to evaluate costs related to operation and shutdown of these facilities and an understanding of the impacts of Federal, State, Tribal and international regulations on these facilities and their economics and operations Skill in oral and written communication to develop, present and convey information to diverse audiences Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
