Director, Environment, Safety and Health Assessments

Directs and/or oversees the following environment, safety and health assessments programs and functions:
Maintains communication, coordination, and feedback with the Secretary and senior DOE managers to identify their issues and concerns, interface with DOE field and program elements, the National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), Defense Nuclear Facilities Safety Board's technical staff, congressional staff and other stakeholders. Provides strategic direction (e.g., policy and procedures) that ensures:
operational awareness of the Department's strengths and weaknesses, working with other EA elements and line organization to identify key focus areas for improvement and use of oversight processes to measure and communicate performance to line organizations with special emphasis on focus area identification and integration, and where performance lags. Provides management and direction to the implementation of the Department's program for independent evaluation of the effectiveness of nuclear safety, worker safety and health, and emergency management programs throughout the Department to determine program status and provide feedback to line management on needed improvements. Evaluates the need to perform special studies to evaluate issues, adverse safety performance, or trends. Responsible for the Office of Environment, Safety and Health Assessments strategic planning activities, providing unique input on key strategic decisions by the Deputy Director and/or Director of the Office of Enterprise Assessments, as well as vigorous support for the integration of the various missions and functions into a unified EA program. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work performed by the Office and subordinate Offices. Makes decisions on work problems presented by employees. Finds and implements ways to eliminate or reduce significant bottlenecks and barriers to production, promote team building, or improve office practices. Periodically evaluates the overall effectiveness of the Office's efforts and programs, and takes action to implement changes considered necessary. Represents the Office of Environment, Safety and Health Assessments in interactions with senior Department leadership, DNFSB technical staff, committees, and external stakeholders. Serves as an expert advisor to top level EA and DOE management in the areas of nuclear safety, environmental, worker safety and health, and emergency management programs. Provides a sound technical presence at the management level of the Deputy Director, Office of Enterprise Assessments. Performs other duties as assigned. Executive Core Qualifications. MANDATORY TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS (MTQs):
A supplemental narrative must be submitted separately addressing each MTQ below. No more than one (1) page per MTQ is allowed; additional information will not be considered. MTQs must provide specific examples that address relevant experience and accomplishments. Applicants must reflect superior technical qualifications demonstrated through leadership and management in the following MTQs:
MTQ 1 :
Demonstrated experience in expertly directing and overseeing a large independent oversight program to assess the effectiveness of environment, safety and health policies and programs for complex nuclear and non-nuclear facilities. MTQ 2:
Experience in defining technical criteria used for engineering and scientific related disciplines (i.e., authorization basis documentation, essential systems functionality, and hazards assessments for emergency management) while both identifying and improving issues related to overall safety performance at nuclear and non-nuclear facilities.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
