Information Technology Specialist

As a GS-2210-14 Information Technology Specialist, you will:
Perform a variety of duties to support cloud computing and information systems operated by the Architecture, Engineering, Technology, and Innovation (AETI) Office and in the Innovation Community Center (ICC). Provide technical leadership in the rollout of new Cloud features and offerings. Serve as technical consultant and advisor to senior officials and contractors on matters relating to the automation of mission unique system activities. Be able to provide technical leadership for DevSecOps development. Prepare and present written and oral reports, briefings, and proposals, to customers and management on a variety of cloud, artificial intelligence and IT matters. BASIC REQUIREMENTS Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Problem Solving- Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Specialized experience for this position is defined as:
Providing production level support for cloud platforms such as Microsoft, Azure, Amazon Web Services (AWS), or Google Cloud Platform (GCP) for computing and information systems. Utilizing methodologies such as Agile, to support development, data security, and computing operations. Providing guidance on cloud computing and information systems in areas such as development and deployment, service uptime and monitoring, maintenance and support, and data security to project managers. Ability to manage cloud environments in accordance with security guidelines. Ability to deploy and support cloud initiatives in accordance with best practices throughout their lifecycle. Skill identifying and troubleshooting cloud service events and issues as well as working with cloud service providers to efficiently solve issues or implement workarounds. Ability to operate cloud platform administrative portals; translate use cases to actionable build steps; set strategy for sandbox testing; serve as the AETI Office lead for cloud vendors; and develop best practices for the cloud environment. Prepare and present written and oral reports, briefings, and proposals, to customers and management. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
