Information Technology Specialist

As a IT Specialist, you will:
Serve as principle IT advisor to senior management by providing information technology management advice including recommendations for product modernization, project scope, cost estimates, resource requirements, project justifications and impact analysis. Develop processes and practices that support the operational aspects and enterprise goals of IT for the organization and ensures that the organization's overall information architecture is adhered to and that corporate standardization and systems integration are promoted and well maintained. Directs and/ or carries out a wide variety of analysis, tests, design, implementation and operational tasks associated with the development and delivery of diverse IT products to meet the needs of all levels of the organization and coordinates these efforts across all project lifecycle workgroups, ensuring timely and responsive communications with the customer, and minimal disruption to ongoing business processes. Implements and maintains information technology, architecture, Departmental Information management strategic goals, initiatives, and organizational policies required by the Office of Management and Budget Circular (OMB) A-130, Management of federal informational resources. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

Experience providing policy, support, and guidance for an organization's employees and staff pertaining to such issues as Information Technology, Information Management and operations, business systems development and support, Enterprise Architecture, Capital Planning and Investment Control, and Cyber Security Performing program analysis and providing recommendations for improvement to senior level management; Coordinating and overseeing the creation and implementation of IT projects/programs for an organization; and Representing an organization as the subject matter expert on issues pertaining to the organization's information technology management policies and procedures. Extensive knowledge of advancement in the information technology industry to define issues and problems and to plan and conduct feasibility studies, and to advice senior organizational management concerning resource management strategies. Mastery knowledge of theories, concepts, standards and practices of program and project information management, with particular emphasis on effective planning and project execution including directing the effort of federal and contractor project personnel. Ability to develop and apply policies, guidelines, practical applications, and frameworks in the context of a large organization with a variety of complex program responsibilities. Extensive knowledge of network operations, complex information systems generally, cyber security, the maintenance and development of applications both new and legacy, a wide variety of hardware platforms and operating systems, best practices for running, modeling, and optimizing helpdesk and desk-side support. Mastery knowledge of general IT theories, principles, concepts, methods, standards, best practices, and techniques used in the IT fields and their application to the business applications that support the organization. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include:
volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
