Information Technology Specialist - DIRECT HIRE

As a full performance level, GS-2210-11, Information Technology Specialist (INFOSEC), you will:
Analyze, develop and implement Information Technology solutions by providing software life cycle support for a variety of information technology systems. Collaborate with Senior Information Technology Specialist working on systems acquisitions and deployment of information technology solutions that satisfy the vision of Corporate Business Systems (CBS) and promote the use of the CBS portal. Participate in operational IT security matters including continuous monitoring of systems components to include vulnerability scan results, audit log reviews, account management, system risks assessments, system impact assessments, and development of mitigation strategies to address security gaps; maintain an accurate inventory of system hardware and software, develop and manages Plan of Actions and Milestones (POAMs) and assist in resolutions. Gather, validate, and analyze facts regarding information technology alternative solutions and draws appropriate conclusions. Lead/perform tasks that support the Office of Corporate Information Systems and CBS Programs. BASIC REQUIREMENTS Applicants must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
Specialized experience is experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA's) to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. GS-9:

Applying a wide range of Information Technology techniques, analysis, and procedures to audit, evaluate, implement, and disseminate Cyber Security tools. Participating in the planning, design, operations and maintenance of information technology systems. Analyzing and evaluating information to identify problem trends, and participates in planning activities relative to IT application and services. OR Master's degree or equivalent graduate degree; OR 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or equivalent graduate degree. GS-11:

Planning, designing, developing, testing, implementing and managing corporate and administrative systems operation and maintenance including access and controls of various IT applications and services. Performing security reviews of application designs, software development, source code and deployments of software programs for system risk assessments. Conducting systems security evaluations, audits and reviews. OR Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; OR 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. Knowledge of project management principles and methodologies sufficient to conduct studies/projects and manage the development and delivery of various IT products and services. Knowledge and demonstrated experiences working with Portal and web technologies, and the ability to independently identify and resolve complex technical issues. Ability to interpret IT policies, standards and guidelines and apply them to the completion of assigned tasks. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience. The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
