Electrical Estimator
Electrical Estimator- Sr Estimator - Electrical Contracting / Electrical Construction My client an excellent Electrical Contracting company in the local area is actively seeking an experience Senior Estimator to join their team.
This position has potential to move into the chief estimator role in the next 12-18 months.
The Sr Estimator is responsible for securing profitable work through comprehensive electrical estimates and superior customer service, while effectively utilizing and developing their team.
This role will either directly or indirectly through supportive staff have the following duties:
Strong working knowledge of electrical construction methods, processes and management practices Excellent analytical and problem solving skills Efficient & responsive to the needs of internal and external clients alike Build estimates based on an understanding of design, constructability, and sequencing of a project.
Experience preparing reports and estimating documents for projects.
Conduct quantity take-offs.
Manage estimating process and timelines to meet company objectives, both short and long term.
Perform necessary research to produce accurate, complete, and competitive pricing.
Communicate with customers to define the project scope, address deficiencies, negotiate pricing, and build relationships.
Provide leadership, direction, and training to junior estimating team members.
Prepare and present completed estimating packages to company executives and senior management.
Continuously follow up on all bid projects and accurately forecast future awards / probabilities.
Must be able to complete accurate take-offs, and prepare scopes and schedules Works well with all levels of team in a productive manner Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) Extremely detail-oriented and well-organized Strong employment history stability
Qualifications:
Ideally Ten (10) or more years of relevant electrical estimating experience.
Degree preferable, but not mandatory Proficient in Microsoft Office and relevant industry estimating software (AccuBid, ConEst, McCormick, EBM (Electrical Bid Manager), On-Screen Takeoff, etc.
) Ability to multi-task Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be organized, detail-oriented and efficient.
Able to provide a high level of customer service.
