Planet Technologies, a Certified Microsoft Gold Partner, is looking for a talented Senior MS Exchange Engineer to join our expanding team. A Senior Exchange Engineer that is well versed in architecting, deploying, troubleshooting and supporting Microsoft Exchange. The right candidate will have experience with Microsoft Exchange 2003, 2007, and 2010. Experience with Exchange 2013 and or Exchange Online is highly desirable.
As a Senior Exchange Engineer on the Planet Federal Infrastructure Services Team, you will be responsible for meeting with and supporting Planets Federal customers in designing, deploying and supporting a variety of complex messaging environments. This often involves working on-site with a customer to identify the customer requirements, assess how their current environment is configured, and identify a path forward. This can entail giving presentations from time to time and often this entails producing well written technical documents specific to the customers environment and objectives.
The Senior Exchange Engineer must be able to speak clearly and communicate effectively (both written and verbally) with a customers Technical staff as well as Senior Management. He or she is expected to have prior experience in either leading or supporting an Email migration project and therefore has good project management skills as well as possess strong self-discipline skills. The candidate must be comfortable with up to 25% travel, however the majority of the work entails working on site with customers in the major metropolitan Washington DC area. May report in DC on some occasions.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Job Functions)
Design, Deploy, Troubleshoot, Document and Support an Email Migration project from a legacy messaging system such as Microsoft Exchange 2003 or Exchange 2007 to Microsoft Exchange 2010, Exchange 2013 or Exchange Online (IE Office 365).
The Senior Exchange Engineer may also be responsible for some project management tasks associated with the email migration as well. The right candidate must possess good people skills and be personable as this individual will be meeting with customers on a regular basis. The Senior Exchange Engineer must be able to design, deploy, troubleshoot and document the solution for the customer as this is often required in just about every engagement.
