Minimum 5 years IT UNIX Administration experience in a large 300
networked environment of Solaris 8-10 and Redhat Linux (5.4-6.3) in support of the HNS Engineering Department.
Must be team player and self starter. U.S. citizenship required.
Install software, apply patches, manage file systems, monitor performance and troubleshoot alerts from commercial, open source and locally developed operating systems, applications and tools.
System failure analysis and recovery; insuring the consistency and integrity of file systems.
Hardware/software configuration; trouble diagnosis and management
Technical support and general troubleshooting via ticketing system and/or direct customer contact as required
7x24 on-call support (when on on-call rotation)
Manage and lead various integration, OS projects of varying size and complexity as required.
Strong experience with system management tools, logical file systems, and client/server environments.
In-depth hardware configuration knowledge
Shell programming expertise
Networking experience
Strong troubleshooting skills
Demonstrated initiative, customer orientation and team work competenciesEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
