Basic QualificationsRequires a Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering or Mathematics field.
Also requires 5
years of job-related experience, or a Master's degree plus 3 years of job-related experience.
Agile experience preferred.

Responsibilities for this PositionGDMShas an immediate opening for a Senior Information Systems Security Engineer.
This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation's core defense/intelligence services and systems.
GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES AND TASKS:
.
As a member of the security team, supports the system security design effort, security requirements analysis, and security requirements flow down to the program elements.
Executes or supports the execution of the development of program required security documentation, including items such as security plans, contingency plans, and security tests plans and procedures in compliance with NASA policy.
Ability to support IT Security concerns for missions through all stages of mission lifecycle development.
Generates or supports the generation of Assessment and Authorization (A& A) documentation for theprogram.
Assesses potential security issues and impacts, develops remediation measures that account for project requirements and success.
Provides technical input to Project or Engineering Management in linking task-related strategy to achieve business goals.
Understands and interprets the technical, organizational and process aspects of the task assigned and can relate them to the technical needs of the overall large project or organization.
Plans and executes small projects or task elements within larger projects, organizations, or for groups of projects.
Responsible for the completion of assigned engineering tasks or small projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines.
Actively uncovers technical and organizational risks and ensures they are included in risk mitigation plans.
Participates in continuous process improvement efforts.
Communicates regularly with project security personnel, system administrators, and other relevant POCs.
Supports the Assessment and mitigation of system security threats and risks throughout the program life cycle.
Occasional contact with Business Development.
Travel may be required.
Work performed without appreciable direction.
Provides resolution to a diverse range of complex problems which require the use of ingenuity and creativity.

ISC2 certifications (CAP, CISSP) or other cybersecurity certifications are a bonus.
Continuous Diagnostics and Mitigation (CDM) knowledge is a bonus.
NASA IT security policy knowledge is a bonus.
Flexibility to adapt to new requirements and tasks.
