Essential FunctionsDesign of RF / Analog circuits for RFID and various other products from start to finishTest and optimization of these circuits at board level and product level to ensure product requirements are fulfilledInvolvement in architecture and platform developmentSimulation at board and system level using various tools to balance trade-offs and ensure a solid product designPaper design of circuits and capture in CAD tools.
Provide layout guidance to PCB designerRegulatory test, debug and standards supportBench prototyping of test circuits and soldering and rework as required for testing circuit boardsManufacturing and cross-functional team interaction and support for project completionKnowledge, Skills, and AbilitiesStrong team player and communicatorKnowledge of UHF RFID technology, industry experience and competitive landscape is a plusRF circuit design, test and optimizationHands on experience with matching circuits and inter-stage matching of various RF components and circuitsWorking knowledge of power amplifier parameter derivation and design.
Deep knowledge of non-linear behavior is essential.
Practical knowledge of linearization techniques is a plus.
Transmitter and receiver design from baseband to RFHands on experience with fault analysis and resolution at system and board levelKnowledge of test equipment, such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, signal generators, phase noise test sets, RSAs, Oscilloscopes etc.
Working knowledge of soldering of surface mount components and rework of boards containing surface mount components is essentialWorking knowledge of simulation software such as ADS, CSTWorking knowledge of PCB design from capture to layout.
Cadence knowledge is a plus.
Familiarity with HDI and high-speed board designWorking knowledge in WiFi, WAN and BT is a plusStrong insight into embedded system is a plusKnowledge of phased array systems and antenna parameters are a plusMinimum Education and Work ExperienceRequires Bachelor's degree in Electrical EngineeringMasters in EE preferred5
years' work experience as an RF engineerDemonstrated success in multiple product designs in an RF capacity.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
