NVE is seeking (2) Professional Engineers (PE) to be bid as a contingent hire for an upcoming US Department of Energy faculty contractWork locations are downtown Washington, DC and Germantown, MDThe PE will assist in reviewing minor construction, drawings, and working with selected subcontractors at the two sitesThe PE oversees various engineering and minor construction at each location.o Person working at Forrestal Building must have PE license from District of Columbia. Person working at Germantown Building must have PE license from State of Maryland. Ideal candidate will have federal engineering, construction, and facility O&M experience. The PE should have a strong background in mechanical and electrical facility / plant related issues.The contract performs the following critical functions:
o Facility operation and maintenance at two buildings staffed by DOE personnel. HVAC systems Plumbing/water/waste Quality control Electrical systems Boiler plant operations Energy management control systems (EMCS) Help deskRequirements:
o Must possess a Bachelor's degree Must possess a Professional Engineer (PE) certificationThe PE reports to the NVE Project Manager on site. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
